Technology
In Room 7 we have been making stationery holders for technology. Before starting our final design we had to make a prototype to see if our design would work. We constructed this out of paper.
Next we made our final product. We had to measure and rule our design on the inside piece of fabric. After this we decorated the outside piece of fabric. It was difficult to cut the felt and to use the hot glue gun to stick our designs on. We then had to sew on a button and hair tie and finally we used the blanket stitch to sew our two pieces of fabric together.
We encountered a couple of problems along the way. We had to get the stationery slits the right size so that the stationery wouldn't fall out and we had to put an extra button on to make it roll up tighter.
We are really proud of our stationery holders and look forward to sharing them at student lead conferences.

BOOM! BANG! CRACKLE! Multi-coloured fireworks shoot up into the atmosphere putting on a show for their mesmerized fans. Fireworks are dancing around in the chilly night sky. Heaps of smoke lingers around me andit wonders around the street, finally getting some recognition. I can't stop looking up to the sky. If I blink, i'll miss the most epic one!

Bang, boom, crackle, there are spectacular colours everywhere.I notice in the distance there are all types of fireworks. The smoke lingers in the colourfuL sky.I here the neighbours launching fireworks at the speed of a rocket ship. My family sees the fireworks dancing in the night sky.The sparklers ignites making it look like it is cooking a sausage. BY RILEY.

Silver beet
In room 7 we have been planting silver beat in the new school planter boxes. The Room 7 plant box was fill of Silver beet so we thought of what we could do with it, We decided that students should take it home and make something with it. Daneka and Lauren made salads and Christian made a dip.
We also realised that the Tui Team planter box was fill of weeds and did not have any plants in it. We decided to solve that issue.
First we had to take all the weeds out of the planter box and water the soil so that it wasn't hard like clay. Next, we also put compost in and mixed it around. Miss Clarke and some students brought in some plants. We planted tomatoes, lettuce, capsicum, snow pea and radishes.
