Haiku Poems

In Room 7 we have been writing Haiku poems.
A Haiku is a Japanese poem. It has a specific structure.
Line 1 has 5 syllables
Line 2 has 7 syllables
Line 3 has 5 syllables

We wrote Haiku and then published them using KidPix and Pages. We had to publish quickly and use our time wisely.

Science Fair

Term 2's Inquiry was science fair. We completed lots of experiments in class and then had to complete our own science investigation for homework. 

The students did a really good job at presenting and completed some sound science learning. 

Scooter Time

Room 7 haD a scooter day. We had two ladies from Travel Wise come in and take us for a lesson. Firstly, we completed some safety activities in the classroom. 

We then moved outside and were able to ride our scooters in the school grounds. We did a relay activity that helped up rise our scooter correctly and use the break. We had to stop and look when we got to a drive way and we had to walk our scooters over the pedestrian crossing. 

Lastly, we had to complete an orienteering course on our scooters. We rode our scooters all over the school looking for clues. 

We had a great time and learnt lots.  

Year 4/5 Volleyball

Mrs Notley took the Yr 4 and 5 volleyball team to the central countries inter school competition. The students had a great day. Daneka was selected the best girl at the tournament.
