All About Me Presentations

As part of Week 1 and 2 homework, Room 7 completed a presentation about themselves. Students made posters, booklets and Keynotes.
On Friday students shared them with the class. Students needed to remember to present using a loud clear voice, stand still and look at the audience.
Room 7 students did very well. The presentations look great on our wall!

Wednesday, 8 February 2012

Room 7 has been getting to know each other and making sure that they can work together as a class.

One activity we did to help develop collaboration skills was completed during PE co-operative games.

We completed a hula hoop chain. We had to hold hands and form a chain and get a hula hoop down the chain without letting go of anyone.
We also worked together to fit as many people as we could in hula hoops. We were able to fit all of Room 7 into 3 hula hoops as we ended up working together to support each other balance.
We also played ball tiggy. This was very challenging and we need to remember to work on our communication skills so that we can improve.

Here are some photos of us having fun while working together.

Name Art

In Room 7 we have made name art to be displayed on the wall. We have called them name bugs/aliens.
The process we followed was
- Fold the paper
- write our name on one side with pastel (linking)
- close the paper and press down to make the pastel smudge
- follow the smudge line to mirror our name
- colour in neatly

SC
Use the whole page
Link the letters
Letters touch the mirror line
Colour neatly - no chicken scratching or smudging
